TONYA'S ANSWERS:
1. I
was shopping in Chicago and a
photographer gave me his card. At
first I thought it must be some sort
of scam, but it led to my first
photoshoot and opened the door to
several really huge opportunities.
2. The
photographers I work with are all
top notch professionals and really
wonderful people. I always have a
great time on every shoot, and you'd
be surprised how physically
demanding it can be!
3. My
dad has always been involved in
mixed martial arts and was a
professional body builder for years.
It was just natural for me to follow
that path. Later, a good friend
bought a den and I became involved
with that as well. I've always been
a huge fan of the UFC.
4. It's not
fake like some of the other sports
have become. It's a new breed of
sport that is still raw and packed
full of emotion, pride and respect.
It's entertainment that doesn't rely
on scripts and predetermined winners
to succeed. Fighters who win do so
honestly.
5. I grew up in an
extremely small town with a
population of about 30 in the middle
of nowhere. When I finished high
school I went on scholarship to the
Chicago Institute of Art.
Ironically, that put me behind the
camera, but now I end up in front of
it more often than not.
6. In life,
my ultimate goal is to be the best
person to my future husband and
children as I possibly can. My
ultimate goal in modeling/ring girl
activities is to provide
entertainment where I can and to
enjoy all that I do.
7. Like I say,
don't be fooled, bad things come in
nice packages. I do a lot of tom-boy
stuff. I like hunting, fishing,
camping, and horseback riding. I
love singing and anything to do with
music; it is a very, very important
part of my life. I also do
competitive samba dancing.
8. Without
fail, most people think my legs are
my sexiest feature, and I pretty
much agree with them. They're long,
tone, and tan, perfect to drive guys
crazy, especially when I'm in heels.
A lot of people like my eyes as
well. But, ultimately it's my
personality that makes the
difference.
9. Until recently,
I took in my nephew and raised him
without having children of my own.
That took a lot of work but was
incredibly rewarding and I'm going
to miss him. I'm very outgoing and
love being around people and in
social situations. You'll notice my
tattoo says "carpe diem," and I
totally believe that. Life is much
too short for regrets.
10. You don't
really expect me to pick just one,
do you? I really like George St.
Pierre. I like his style of
fighting. I love the way that,
regardless of the situation he
remains extremely respectful,
confident and humble. I find those
qualities to be very important in
the MMA He never trash talks. He's
not a bully. But, Forrest Griffin is
a very close second because he's
just so fun-loving. Both men seem to
be gracious and respectful in the
face of a win or a loss, and they
have a good time with the sport.
