EXCITING TITLE FIGHTS, EXCITING KNOCKOUTS, AND 70 ROUNDS OF ACTION!

Boxing fans who didn’t quite get their fill of the professional fight game this weekend need not worry, as GoFightLive.tv has announced that this past week’s live webcasts of DiBella Entertainment’s March 5th “The Rematch,” and Star Boxing’s March 6th all-star boxing event, are still available for viewing at www.GoFightLive.tv !

MARCH 6TH

Joe DeGuardia’s March 6th all-star boxing event gives fight fans the opportunity to catch another six professional bouts, a USBA light welterweight headlining event, and 5 exciting bouts ending via knockout…all in one spectacular event!

In the evening’s co-main event “Mighty” Mike Arnaoutis (18-2-2, 9 KO’s) moved one step closer to a world title, capturing the USBA Light Welterweight Title, with a 12-round unanimous decision victory over the dangerous Harrison Cuello (15-6-2, 11 KO’s).
In the evening’s other co-main event, “The Heavyweight Highlight Film” Vinny Maddalone (29-4, 20 KO’s) scored a second-round TKO victory over seasoned professional veteran, Jeff Yeoman (21-9, 8 KO’s). For Maddalone, a major fan-favorite in the sport of boxing, it was his second consecutive win, since putting forth a valiant effort against the legendary, and future hall of famer, Evander Holyfield, on March 17, 2007.
If the combination of watching fan-favorites Mike Arnaoutis and Vinny Maddalone in action was not quite enough, fear not, as Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing event represents boxing fans with the opportunity to see 5 of the 6 bouts end the old-fashion way…via knockout!

MARCH 5th

Lou DiBella’s “The Rematch” features 8 action-packed bouts, to include Gary Stark Jr’s10-round unanimous decision headlining victory win over Andres Ledesma. The win saw Stark (21-2, 8 KO’s) avenge one of his only two professional defeats. In May, 2007, while ahead on all three judges scorecards, Stark suffered a devastating fifth-round TKO loss to Ledesma. Last Wednesday night, Stark came back with a vengeance, earning a close, hard-fought unanimous decision over his prior conqueror.
Also, in the evening’s co-feature bout junior-welterweight Edgar Santana (23-3, 15 KO’s) scored his second consecutive third-round TKO victory, defeating ageless veteran Grover Wiley (30-11-1, 14 KO’s).
“The Rematch” undercard includes six more exciting bouts, to include an additional twenty-nine rounds of professional boxing action, with several knockout victories as well, giving fight-fans a total of forty two rounds of boxing excitement!

ALBUQUERQUE (March 12, 2008) – The long awaited, much anticipated showdown between two of boxing’s best, exciting and most popular females, Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm and Mary Jo Sanders, will headline the June 13th “Finally” pay-per-view event (10 PM/ET-8 PM/MT), presented by Fresquez Productions, Inc., live from Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

“Finally,” produced and distributed by Integrated Sports, will be available for live viewing on cable and satellite pay-per-view via iN Demand, TVN and DirecTV for a suggested retail price of only $24.95.
Holm (21-1-2, 6 KOs), fighting out of Albuquerque, meets Detroit icon Sanders (25-0, 8 KOs) in the 10 round main event for the vacant International Female Boxers Association (IFBA) junior middleweight title.

“This is a fight between two supreme athletes in their prime battling for pound-for-pound supremacy,” promoter Lenny Fresquez said. “Holly is a natural junior welterweight who is fighting three divisions higher against the best middleweight in the world, Mary Jo, at 154 pounds (junior middleweight). The winner will be recognized as the top pound-for-pound active fighter in female boxing today.”

Holm, 2007 WBAN & IFBA Fighter of the Year, is the reigning IFBA welterweight champion and 7-time world title-holder in three different weight classes. She is 10-0 (3 KOs) in world title fights and has defeated seven world champions including Christy Martin, Mia St. John, Jane Couch, Ann Saccurato, and Chevelle Hallback.
IBA middleweight title-holder Sanders, 4-time world champion in four divisions, is the daughter of Football Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Sanders, former Detroit Lions tight end star.

Mary Jo, 5-0 (2 KOs) in world championship bouts, has beaten nine world champions, including Valerie Mahfood, Melissa Del Valle, Eliza Olson, Tricia Turton, and Hallback.

IBA junior lightweight champion Chevelle “Fists of Steel” Hallback (26-5-2, 11 KOs), fighting out of Tampa (FL), takes on IBA featherweight title-holder Jeannine “G9” Garside (7-0-1, 3 KOs), representing Ontario (Canada), in the 10-round co-feature for the IFBA lightweight title.

Two other exciting 10-round pay-per-view fights are on tap, IBA junior featherweight champion Wendy Rodriguez (18-4, 3 KOs), of Los Angeles, versus WIBF-GBU/WIBC minimumweight title-holder Hollie “Hot Stuff” Dunaway (21-6, 10 KOs), from Van Buren, Arkansas, for the vacant IFBA junior flyweight championship.

Newly crowned WIBA flyweight title-holder Eileen “The Hawaiian Mongoose” Olszewski (5-0), fighting out of New York City by way of Honolulu, will be fighting an opponent to be determined. All fights and fighters are subject to change.

Tickets, priced at $50.00, $100.00, $150.00, $200.00, $350.00 and $500.00, go on sale March 18 at the Isleta Casino and Resort box office, www.tickets.com or at Fresquez Productions, Inc. (508.884.7484). For more information go to www.fresquezproductions.com or www.holmvssanders.com. Doors open at 5:30 PM/MT, first bout 7:00 PM/MT, first televised bout 8:00 PM/MT.

Holm-Sanders Detroit Presser Quotes

The Holm-Sanders media tour kicked-off today in Detroit at the Andiamo Restaurant, continues tomorrow (Thursday, March 13 – 2 PM/MT) at the Isleta Casino & Resort (Bingo Showroom), and concludes Saturday morning (11 AM/PT) with a breakfast/press conference at the Luxor Hotel & Casino (Nile Chambers Room A & B) in Las Vegas.

Holly Holm: “Mary Joe is 25-0 and I feel that she’s been put in with the right girls. In 2 ½ more months everyone will know I’m the best in boxing. I don’t make predictions. We’ve all seen Mary Jo. I’ll train for 10 rounds and take it one round at a time. Anything can happen.”

Mary Joe Sanders: “I made a prediction once and my dad got made at me. I asked him to wait until after the fight. I predicted the third round and got her in the first. But that’s not the point. There’s no need for predictions. I don’t want to be focusing on that (round prediction). I know it’ll be a great fight.”

Mike Winkeljohn (Holm’s manager/trainer): “Mary Jo is undefeated. I hope they enjoy the last 2 ½ months being undefeated. Mary Jo is all those things (what Mallo said) but Holly is hard to hit. She’s as slippery as Jimmy’s (Mallo) hair. They must be nervous to have already started training. Holly’s going to start at the right time and not get burned out. I encourage them to do that (continue training).”

Jimmy Mallo (Sanders’ manager/trainer): “Mary Joe is by far the best female fighter in boxing. Holly Holm hops around like a bunny. She better not bring her dancing shoes that night. We train everyday; six days a week. So, I don’t think Mary Joe will peak too soon. I hope Vegas takes bets on this fight. Holly Holm can’t win this fight. Mary Joe is too good and too strong. It doesn’t matter what game plan, she can’t win. Mary Jo goes against the grain. She’s never thrown off by quickness. It really doesn’t matter. Mary Jo is a true fighter; Holly Holm is a bunny, hopping in and out, fighting like she’s doing the Cha-Cha. She better change her game plan for this fight. Whatever she does in this fight, Mary Jo is going to punch her harder than she’s ever been hit in her life.”

Lenny Fresquez (promoter of the show and for Holm): “The ring is only going to be 18 feet, so they shouldn’t think Holly will be dancing. The referee and judges will be neutral.”

LAS VEGAS, NEV. (March 12, 2008) – The final press conference was held moments ago for the hen World Boxing Council (WBC) super featherweight champion between JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ vs MANNY PACQUIAO Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Resorts and Casino and live on HBO Pay-Per-View. Promoted by Golden Boy Promotions and Top Rank, in association with Romanza Boxing Productions and MP Promotions and sponsored by Tecate Beer, Rock Star Energy Drink and Southwest Airlines, Marquez vs. Pacquiao II Unfinished Business will be for the WBC and vacant Ring Magazine Super Featherweight World Championship. The world title bout will take place at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, and will be produced and distributed live on HBO Pay-Per-View, beginning at 9 p.m. EST/6 p.m. PST.

ODDS (as of press conference)

Manny Pacquaio -230

Juan Manuel Marquez +190

(*First fight at fight time, odds were closer with Pacquaio favored at -180 and Marquez +160.)

MARK TAFFET, HBO PPV

“Great turnout we have here today for one of the fights I have been looking forward to for a number months. And we are lucky to have these two warriors who are willing to get back in the ring to do it all over again.

“Pacquaio vs Marquez I was one of the most interesting, exciting fights. It epitomized best of sprot of boxing and on anyone’s list they are at the top of the best pound for pound in the sport. These two guys carry a nation on their shoulders and that what makes it even mor e special. In ppv in the lighter weight classes, the industry supports these fights like they are heavyweight fights.

“We know Saturday night we are going to have a great fight and one that will be remembered for years to come.”

BOB ARUM

“Not too many words or hyperboles for this fight. I’ve heard Juan Manuel is in great shape but I have witnessed with my own eyes how Manny Pacquaio trained for this fight. If I could get a blueprint for how he trained and get all other fighters to use it, we would have great fights night after night. The conditioning is so important as his stamina and ability to withstand punishment is at his highest peak. I don’t know another fighter—and we have Pavlik and Cotto who worked hard—but I have never seen anyone prepare like Manny Pacquaio has for this fight.

“Card will start at 3:30pm with first televised fight at 6:30pm. This is such an internet feast with HBO, Yahoo and I think even ESPN getting behind it. All over you will see this fight so it is a great fight.”

RICHARD SCHAEFER

“Another great night of boxing and it can’t get much better than this, there is one dream match-up and this is the one they wanted to see (polls taken showed us that). Support has been tremendous and everyone has embraced this great event.

“And so did the sponsors—Tecate Beer, stepping up to the plate and help us take these fights to the people through support through supermarkets and the many conversions that take place as part of this sponsorship.

“Boxing related to their brands really works. There is a direct correlation between these brands, their sponsorships and reaching their customers through this message.

“Golden Boy is extremely pleased to be working with Juan Manuel and his team. He is an unbelievable Champion and you will truly see a magnificent performance by him Saturday night. This is a fight between two great warriors and I don’t think anyone will be disappointed.”

TEAM PACQUAIO

MANNY PACQUAIO

“First like to thank God for giving me the sign everyday. To both promoters and MP Promotions I thank you. Thanks to my wife who is very supportive of my boxing career.

“It will be a great fight on Saturday as I heard Marquez has trained very hard and doesn’t want to let his countrymen down. But I don’t either as I need to win this fight for my people as this is the key to the Filipino unity. Not only for myself but all the people who love boxing I want them to be satisfied with my performance and not disappoint them on Saturday. I will do my best to make them happy. I also pray that both Marquez and me will be safe and all fighters will not get hurt in the ring.”

FREDDIE ROACH, TRAINER

“Manny came to camp early and we usually have a rule that we don’t play basketball and I didn’t even have to worry about it. He said he didn’t want to play this time because this fight is so important.

“We are ready and I am looking forward to the fight and Saturday night.”

TEAM MARQUEZ

JUAN MANUEL MARQUEZ

“Thank your for being here. I am happy to be here for this fight and everyone watching this fight is a war. I have prepared very hard for 3 months. I don’t really like to talk in the ring I do it in the ring. This fight is for my country, my people and I will win it with my heart.”

IGNACIO BERISTAIN, TRAINER

“After recouping and swallowing the sour decision of the Juan’s brother Rafael’s fight against Vasquez, please watch and witness what well be a great fight with two warriors.”
