Mansour of Wilmington, Delaware has a perfect mark of 15-0 with eleven knockouts and is quickly becoming one of the most talked about Heavyweights in the world has won six straight fights since a nine year hiatus.
In the six wins, five did not see the final bell and three of those foes felt the prodigious power of Mansour that they needed extra medical attention just to leave the ring.
In his last bout, Mansour stepped up the competition in a major way and scored a dominating ten round unanimous decision over former top Heavyweight contender Dominick Guinn on August 19th
With a win on Friday, Mansour will be looking to step up and take on a top ten opponent this spring.
In order to reach that fight he first must get by the rugged and hard punching Mendoza.
Mendoza of Barranquilla, Colombia has a record of 32-12-1 with twenty eight big knockouts.
He started his career with sixteen straight knockouts inside of three rounds which included a first round stoppage over then 17-0 Tukumbo Olijade. He also holds a first round stoppage over Rubin Williams (19-0).
Mendoza has also been in the ring with Former world champions Jeff Lacy and Chad Dawson as well as currant Light Heavyweight belt holder Beibut Shumenov. Mendoza has win two in a row which includes a third round stoppage over previously undefeated Puerto Rican Olympian Carlos Negron (13-0) on September 2nd.
In a eight round Lightweight bout, Dorin Spivey (39-6, 29 KO’s) battles rugged Angel Rios (9-8, 6 KO’s)
Delaware’s own “Mighty” Mike Tiberi (17-1, 7 KO’s) will take on Emil Gonzalez (5-5, 3 KO’s) in a Middleweight bout scheduled for six rounds.
In a six round Light Heavyweight Anthony Caputo Smith (11-0, 9 KO’s) battles Douglas Otieno (23-7, 12 KO’s)
Popular Ryan Belasco (15-5-3, 3 KO’s) takes on the grizzled veteran Damon Antoine (9-32-2, 4 KO’s)
In a four round Lightweight bout, undefeated Omar Douglas (2-0, 1 KO) takes on debuting Miguel Antonio Rodriguez
In a four round Cruiserweight bout, Lamont Singletary (2-0, 2 KO’s) risks his perfect knockout streak against Maurice Amaro (1-4)
Rounding out the bill will be Super Middleweights John Bowman (0-0-1) and Damion Reed (2-7-1, 1 KO)

Jimmy Lange Boxing Returns to Patriot Center on Feb. 11, 2012
Posted on | December 1, 2011 | No Comments
WBU Champ Lange to Headline Three World-Title-Fight Night; Top Local Boxers Nelson, Wilson, Shah and Jeter Showcased
Fairfax, VA (December 1, 2011) – Officials announced today that Jimmy Lange Boxing, presented by Valcourt Building Services, will return to the Patriot Center on Saturday, February 11, 2012 for another world-class fight card featuring top area boxers. Considered one of the mid-Atlantic region’s premier boxing showcases, the event is scheduled to host three world championship title fights, headlined by junior middleweight Jimmy Lange’s first title defense of his World Boxing Union (WBU) 154-pound championship belt (opponent TBD).
Tickets, starting at $35, are scheduled to go on sale Wednesday, December 7, 2011 and can be purchased at all Ticketmaster outlets including the Patriot Center Boxing office.
Lange (37-4-2, 25 KOs), who has headlined all 13 previous Patriot Center boxing shows since returning from his participation on The Contender TV series, captured the WBU title last September by knocking Raul Munez down three times en route to his 25th victory by knockout. The Great Falls, VA fighter continues to draw large, enthusiastic crowds from across the region while advancing the ranks in the junior middleweight division.
After making her successful Patriot Center debut last fall with a victory over Michelle Garland, Tori “Sho Nuff” Nelson (5-0-1) of Ashburn, VA is scheduled to return and defend her World International Boxing Association (WIBA) middleweight championship in a ten-round affair (opponent TBD). A single mom who holds down three jobs (school bus driver, cafeteria worker and waitress) outside of the ring, Nelson has quickly climbed the ranks in women’s boxing in a short period of time. She captured the World Boxing Council’s (WBC) middleweight championship last summer when she upset Lorissa Rivas via split decision in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
In a classic Northern Virginia vs. Maryland showdown, unbeaten Zain “Tiger” Shah of Chantilly, VA (6-0, 4 KOs) puts his unblemished record on the line against Stevensville, MD’s Tony “Mo Better” Jeter (12-2-1, 9 KOs) in a six-round middleweight contest. Both fighters are familiar names on the Beltway boxing scene known for their punching prowess. Training out of LA Boxing’s Reston gym, Shah has recorded second-round knockouts in his last two fights, including a win over Julius “Vicious” Kennedy last September at the Patriot Center. Meanwhile, the hard-hitting Jeter, who beat Ken Dunham last month at Showplace Arena, is riding an unbeaten streak of nine bouts dating back to early 2008. The Club Fitness boxer scored a highly-memorable KO over Keith Gross in his Patriot Center debut on September 26, 2009.
Also slated to appear on the card (opponent TBD) is undefeated, rising welterweight prospect Todd “White Lightning” Wilson (11-0, 3 KOs) of Fairfax, VA and ABGC boxing gym in Annandale, VA. In his biggest win-to-date, Wilson, a business development specialist at Booz Allen Hamilton, defeated former D.C. world champion Eric “Mighty Mouse” Aiken at the last Patriot Center show.
Officials are working on adding a third world title bout to the card. Doors will open at 6:00 pm, with the first fight scheduled to begin at 7:00 pm. All bouts are subject to change.
Tickets, priced at $35, $50, $75, $125, $200, $300 and $500 (plus applicable service charges), will be available for purchase through all Ticketmaster outlets including the Patriot Center box office, online at www.ticketmaster.com/ and via Phonecharge at 703-573-SEAT, 202-397-SEAT and 410-547-SEAT. Accessible seating is available for patrons with disabilities by calling 703-993-3035.
