FightZone TV will once again be partnering with South Florida’s Championship Fighting Alliance as they debut their new “Sunday Night Fights” campaign on October 9th, 2011 and FightZone TV’s Jay Adams will be there calling all the action for future Fight Zone TV airings.

CFA 03 Flyer Use

To kick off the exciting new format, the main event of CFA 03 will see UFC veterans John “Doomsday” Howard (14-7) and Charlie “Superstar” Rader (15-4) go toe to toe in the main event from the U.S. Century Bank Arena in Miami, FL. at 5 p.m. ET/PT

Howard, who can only be described as an exciting fighter, has used his hands to pick up wins over names like Dennis Hallman and Daniel Roberts in the UFC. After a controversial end to his UFC tenure, Howard is bringing his fire power to Miami in what is likely to be a knock down drag out brawl.

“It’s going to be a war… He likes to bang. And that is what has me excited about the fight. I like to bang. Anybody that is going to stand up and go toe to toe, I’m excited to fight, and I think this will be a perfect fight for that.” Rader, who has won 6 of his last 7 fights, recently said “John Howard… I got to knock him out.”

If that were not enough, it will also be the semi-final round of the CFA Lightweight Tournament featuring undefeated lightweights Yosilandy Izuierdo, Christopher Garcia, Trent McCown, and Patrick Cenoble. The exciting first round of the tournament found three of the four fights ended by knockout or submission as the combatants battled toward the $20,000 grand prize. The semi-finals promises to be even more exciting as the combatants fight their way into the finals.

And to cement CFA 03 as one of the most exciting cards in Florida MMA history, Championship Fighting Alliance is also beginning a first of it’s kind CFA Featherweight Tournament for another $20,000 grand prize.

Tickets for CFA 03 are priced at $35 General Admission, $45 Reserve Seating and $55 Floor Seats, $1,200 for a VIP table of 10(includes food and drinks)and will be on sale shortly.
