Salinas Off Card; Takes Title Fight in Mexico
Ice Promotions officials announced today that Jennifer “The Bolivian Queen” Salinas will not be fighting on Saturday’s card. The Manassas, VA featherweight informed the promotion yesterday that she will challenge champion Jackie “The Aztec Princess” Nava for the World Boxing Council’s (WBC) interim super bantamweight title on Saturday, Nov. 6 in Yucatan, Mexico.
Former Contender Reid Added to Lineup
Jonathan Reid, who was Jimmy Lange’s teammate from season one of The Contender and a former opponent, has been added to Saturday’s action-packed lineup. Reid has been serving as Lange’s training partner the past few weeks in Northern Virginia and will take on an opponent to be determined.
