This past Saturday, SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING delivered an action-packed doubleheader: Super Six World Boxing Classic Group Stage 3 bout Carl Froch vs. Arthur Abraham for the vacant WBC Super Middleweight Championship and Andre Ward vs. Sakio Bika for the WBA Super Middleweight Championship.

Don’t miss a replay of Saturday night’s SHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING telecast, TOMORROW, Tuesday, Nov. 30 at 7pm ET/PT on SHO2!

Froch, having lost the WBC title to Mikkel Kessler in his last fight, was determined to not only bounce back from his first professional loss but win in dominating fashion to recover the vacated title. Abraham, also coming off the first loss of his career, was looking to start fast and finish Froch with his power. Froch, however, was the better man, overwhelming Abraham in the most dominant performance of his career to win the unanimous 12-round decision (120-108 twice and 119-109) and reclaim his title.

Entering Saturday’s fight, Ward, the top seed in the Super Six Tournament, was focused on retaining his WBA title and undefeated record while Bika was ready to show the world that he was a formidable opponent for the champion. In a rough, tough and nasty fight, Ward proved to have the grit and mettle to beat Bika at his own game. Ward took a convincing unanimous decision (118-110 twice and 120-108) to retain his title. Ward heads into the tournament Semifinals with incredible momentum as the favorite to take the Super Six Cup.
