Former WBO title challenger Kendall “Rated R” Holt 23-2 (12 KO’s) scored a majority decision over the always tough Ben Tackie 28-9-1 (17 KO’s). Holt was able to land clean shots in sports but unfortinuately, there were some periods of little action. The always tough Tackie showed his famed iron chin and was able to walk through many of Holt’s power shots. Tackie was only able to land 58 punches in the ten round contest. scores were an unexplainable 95-95 and 98-92 twice for Holt.
2004 olympian and rising Junior Middleweight star Vanes Martirosian improved to 19-0 (13 KO’s) with a third round destruction over Michi Munoz 20-2 (13 KO’s). Matarosian went to work immedately, dropping Munoz in the opening round with a straight right hand. The free swinging and much shorter Munoz had little luck in landing his haymakers. Matarosian continued to tee off during the second round landing almost at will. Martirosian dropped Munoz twice, and possibly broke his nose before referee Kenny Bayless stopped the bout 2:20 into the third round.
