New York, NY (February 10, 2011) –WBO/NABO Youth and USBO Light Heavyweight champion Mark “TNT” Tucker of Eldersburg, MD moved to 15-0 with 7 knockouts following a hard fought unanimous decision over Ray Smith last night at BB King Blues Club & Grill in New York, NY..

Fighting for the first time in eight months, Tucker was the busier fighter and racked up points by consistently throwing jabs, hooks, left hand crosses and crisp body blows. Smith had some success connecting in close quarters, but Tucker’s ability to whether the storm and dictate the pace powered him to victory.

All three judges scored the contest 59-55.

“The ring rust definitely played a factor and it was hard to train properly in this weather, but I definitely felt I won,” said the popular 23 year old southpaw. “He threw some big shots and most of them glanced off of me. He was tougher than I expected, but I landed more punches than him and that’s how the scoring works.”

Tucker’s next bout is scheduled for March 12 at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.
