Also on Saturday: Goldberg to “Crank” Up Action on SHOWTIME

SHOWTIME will provide viewers with a double shot of adrenaline on Saturday, Feb. 16, when former NFL football player/wrestling superstar, Goldberg, hosts the premium network’s night of heart-pumping action beginning at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT.

After introducing the hit action movie, Crank, at 8:30 p.m., the current SHOWTIME and EliteXC analyst will take fans to the EliteXC telecast and dissect the mixed martial arts action when Internet phenomenon Kimbo Slice takes on feared knockout artist Tank Abbott live at 10 p.m. ET/PT, delayed on the West Coast.

Crank, which stars Jason Statham and Amy Smart, is the story of a hit man named Chev Chelios (Statham) who is given a lethal dose of poison. The dose will kill him in an hour unless he can keep his adrenaline pumping long enough to find an antidote and figure out who attempted to kill him.

The EliteXC telecast, presented by Los Angeles-based ProElite, Inc., will originate from the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami and features five spectacular mixed martial arts bouts. In addition to Slice-Abbott, the telecast will include Antonio Silva against Ricco Rodriguez, James Thompson taking on Brett Rogers, Kyle Noke battling Scott Smith, and Edson Berto squaring off against Yves Edwards.
