Model, Actress Amy Vitale Inspiration for Upcoming Comic Book Series

(Miami, FL) – When the new full-color comic book series “Red Angel” debuts later this month, the raven-haired, chiseled beauty that stars in the adventure might have a familiar look about her.
That’s because Victoria Angel, the series heroine, was inspired by fitness model, actress, former wrestling diva and celebrity spokesperson Amy Vitale.
“Red Angel”, a 24-page per issue, full-color comic book series, will make its first splash at MegaCon 2011 on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th in Orlando.
According to the series synopsis, Victoria Angel is the captain of the Steam & Tesla coil powered airship Red Angel, whose crew is tasked with defending New Britain from ARC rebels after the Machine Wars of the late 19th century.
After capturing an ARC ship, Victoria and her crew discover there may be more to the insurgent Machine attacks than revealed by their employer, the Global Transmospheric Trading Company, the leading company in military technology and defense.
Victoria Angel’s look was modeled after Vitale because the latter’s spirit, beauty and resolve captured the eye of series publisher What The Flux Comics and inspired author Erin Pyne and artist Russ Leach to create an all-new sci-fi comic featuring Vitale’s likeness.
The comic series’ debut issue can be preordered at http://whatthefluxcomics.com. Red Angel #1’s price is $3.75 plus tax and $1.00 shipping and handling.
Tate’s Comics (4566 North University Drive, Lauderhill, Florida 33351) will sell Red Angel #1 as well.
The series’ Facebook Fan Page can be found at http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Red-Angel-Comic-Series/153974617968121.
This isn’t the first time that Amy Vitale and comic books have been married; she’s already appeared in the comic book series “Red Skye” as character Aurora Stone.
