Cage Fury Fighting Championships this weekend at Resorts

Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC) is back with its second installment under Hoss Promotions. Entitled “No Mercy”, CFFC 7 will bring another night of action packed mixed martial arts action to the Resorts Hotel and Casinoon Saturday, April 16, 2011. Headlining the show will beUFC and IFC Veteran, Andre Gusmao, make his middleweight debut against undefeated phenom, Tim “the South Jersey Strangler” Williams. Gusmao, who is primarily known for his striking ability, has three wins by TKO and two by submission under the Team Renzo Gracie banner. His opponent enters the bout with an undefeated record of 5-0 with four of the victories coming by submission. Judges get the night off when Williams fights as he has stopped all of his opponents before the final bell. The winner of this bout will be one of the contenders for the CFFC Middleweight Title in June.
The Co-Main Event will feature two stud featherweight contestants in Spa City BJJ/Ricardo Almeida student, Eddie Fyvie taking on Kurt Pellegrino MMA practitioner, Lester Caslow. Fyvie is a submission specialist while Caslow has the same amount of victories by submission or TKO. Their careers are almost a mirror image of each other and both are coming off losses. This is a do-or-die fight for these competitors and both will be eager to get back in the win column.
The main card will feature Olympic Alternate and Assistant Wrestling Coach at the University of Pennsylvania, Kyle Cerminara will make his long awaited MMA debut against scrappy veteran Ariel Sepulveda, who is coming off a submission victory in February of this year. Also, the ageless wonder, Anthony Dagostino is coming back to face Bill Bontcue in a special local attraction bout. Rounding out the main card will be rising lightweight star, Dave Church of Kurt Pellegrino MMA taking on Neil Johnson. The preliminary card will feature the new stars of CFFC as Mtume Goodrum, James Funaro, Billy Dee Williams, Steve Perez, andRichard Ostrum will all be making their professional debuts.
