K.J. NOONS GUARANTEES A SHOT AT GILBERT MELENDEZ TONIGHT ON HDNET’S “INSIDE MMA”

Noons, Sergio Mora and Eddie Bravo join the Panel – TONIGHT, Friday, June 10 at 9:00 p.m. ET on HDNet

DALLAS (June 10, 2011) Tonight on HDNet’s “Inside MMA” Strikeforce® Lightweight K.J. Noons talks about his upcoming fight against Jorge Masvidal, and guarantees that if he is victorious over Masvidal, he’ll get a shot at the current Strikeforce® Lightweight Champion Gilbert Melendez.

Also on the program, a preview of UFC 131 as Bas goes in the cage to break down the main event between Shane Carwin and Junior Dos Santos.  Also, HDNet World Report’s Leslie Boghosian files a special report on the latest attempt to legalize MMA in the state of New York.

On the panel, former WBC Light Middleweight boxing champion and winner of  “The Contender,” Sergio Mora talks about the differences between boxing and MMA.  Mora says that, in a hypothetical match-up between a boxer and an MMA fighter, “you can punch hard but you’re not gonna hit me.”

Eddie Bravo also joins the panel, talking about his on again/off again rematch with Royler Gracie.  Bravo has previously defeated Royler in a huge upset victory in a 2003 ADCC match.

Finally, Ron Kruck previews HDNet’s LIVE coverage of MFC 30 – the event that immediately follows “Inside MMA” – with an in-depth feature on headliner Drew Fickett
