Kim Couture According to Showdown Entertainment The ongoing saga of Kim Couture, continues to make headlines around the world. The official in her bout vs Sheila Bird seems to have blown it. At 1:33 in to the bout Bird apply’s a leg scissors choke to Couture and the referee repositions himself to get a better look at Couture’s face, she’s now trapped for twelve seconds, Couture’s legs go limp at 1:45 seconds and she goes unconscious. Another Six seconds go by and the ref finally steps in and halts the bout. Bird then releases the choke at 1:51. Was the official in question certified to ref an MMA bout. If the answer is No, then the Calgary commission should be taken to task. Others might blame Bird for not releasing
