Riding an eleven fight winning streak and training hard in his hometown of Bakersfield CA, WBC CABOFE Heavyweight champion, Manuel Quezada (25-4, 15 KO’s) prepares to defend his title against Teke “African Prince” Oruh (14-1-1, 6 KO’s), set to take place June 5, 2008 at the HP Pavilion in San Jose.
With four weeks left, Quezada who headlines the main event at the “American Metal & Iron Fight Night at the Tank” plans on moving camp to southern California to train at Joe Goossen’s gym in Van Nuys CA. Undefeated heavyweight contender Malik Scott (30-0, 10 KO’s) will provide Quezada with great sparring as they both have plans to take charge of the division. “Right now camp is going great. I’m mentally and physically prepared to go the distance if I have to.” said Quezada, “Teke is a good fighter, but I believe my experience will be the key to victory. Malik Scott is a world class fighter that I’ll be getting good work with. One thing I know for sure, I’m going to leave it all in the ring come fight night.”
Individual tickets, starting at $25, to the Jun 5, 2008 edition of “American Metal & Iron Fight Night at the Tank” are on sale at the HP Pavilion Ticket Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers located in Wherehouse Music stores, Tower Records and Ritmo Latino locations throughout the Bay Area; online at ticketmaster.com; or charge by phone at (408) 998-TIXS, (415) 421-TIXS or (510) 625-TIXS.
