Takedown Wrestling Media and USA Wrestling Weekly have established a relationship with KWEM TV Sports, that will bring the popular Takedown and USA Wrestling TV News programs to over 200,000 homes in the North Central Oklahoma area on a weekly basis.

The first broadcast of both programs is scheduled for the week of August 25th, 2011. Viewers in North Central Oklahoma can tune in to KWEM Channel 31 and Suddenlink Cable Channel 3. (Check your local listings for channels and availability.)

Takedown Wrestling TV is a half hour weekly TV news program that covers all aspects of amateur wrestling in the U.S.  Host Scott Casber updates viewers on the latest developments on all levels of wrestling  and conducts insightful interviews with the sport’s top athletes and coaches. Casber shares his passion for the “oldest and greatest sport” in a fun, fast-paced show. Takedown Wrestling is available on many cable systems around the country. It can also be viewed online at www.TakedownRadio.com and at over thirty other affiliated amateur wrestling websites.

“North Central Oklahoma is a serious hotbed for wrestling on all levels,” said KWEM Channel 31 Station Manager Casey Kendrick.  “We’re pleased to be adding both programs for our viewers who appreciate this outstanding and demanding sport.”

Casber, founder of Takedown Wrestling, said, “This is an important step for wrestling across the country. Oklahoma is wrestling and the tradition of the sport resides in Stillwater at the Wrestling Hall of Fame. Oklahomans understand the sport and the need for promotion to continue its growth. This is a special opportunity to partner with KWEM in the distribution of both shows.  We understand the responsibility we have in this undertaking and will continue to do our best to present wrestling in a positive manner.”

“KWEM and Suddenlink Cable  will present the weekly TV programs throughout the wrestling hotbed in the southwestern U.S., where collegiate wrestling continues to grow. Oklahoma is home to a number of great programs like Oklahoma State, Central Oklahoma, Oklahoma City University and Oklahoma and the National Wrestling Hall of Fame,” said Casber. “In addition, we’ll now be seen in the part of the country that features some of the best high school wrestling programs in the nation.”
