This moves the total of Takedown Wrestling viewer homes to 11.5 Million per week.

In August of 2011 viewers will begin to see both programs on Midco Sports. Viewers in all 3 states may tune in to Midco’s HD Channel 622. (Check your local listings for availability and times.)

Takedown Wrestling TV is a half hour weekly TV news program covering all aspects of U.S. amateur wrestling.  Anchor Scott Casber updates viewers on the latest developments and conducts insightful interviews with the sport’s top athletes and coaches.  Casber shares his passion for the “oldest and greatest sport” in a fun, fast-paced show. Takedown Wrestling is available on many cable systems around the country. It can also be viewed online at www.TakedownRadio.com and at over thirty other affiliated amateur wrestling websites.

“Midco Sports Network is proud to partner with both Takedown Wrestling Media and USA Wrestling in the distribution of both weekly programs. Wrestling has a tremendous following in our viewing area and we are looking forward to having fans tune in for all the latest news and information regarding wrestling and its athletes.” Said Barry Buetel, Midco Sports Network’s General Manager.

Casber said, “This is an important step for wrestling in the upper midwest. The Midco Sports Network provides the coverage sports fans need and deserve. Dakota and Minnesota residents understand the sport and its need for promotion. This is a special opportunity to partner with the Midco Sports Network in the distribution of both shows.  We understand the responsibility we have in this undertaking and will do our best to present the sport in a positive manner.”

Midco Sports Network serves an area with a strong wrestling heritage. MSN’s coverage is home to a number of great programs like the University of Minnesota – Crookston, North Dakota State University, South Dakota State University, Concordia, Minnesota State Moorhead, Northern State, Minot State, University of North Dakota, and Augustana College to name a few,” said Casber. “In addition, both shows will be seen in the part of the country that features some of the best high school wrestling programs in the nation.”
