NATE CAMPBELL ON CHEVELLE HALLBACK
“Garside needs to be careful. Chevelle is as mean and tenacious as they come!”

WBO, WBA and IBA lightweight champ Nate Campbell spoke out on the upcoming IFBA title fight between Chevelle Hallback (26-5-2) and Jeannine Garside (7-0-1) on June 13, at the Isleta Casino Resort in Albuquerque, NM on the Fresquez Promotions “Finally” women’s championship PPV.

“Chevelle is more than just a fighter, she’s a friend I love and respect,” Campbell said, “But she’s also as tenacious as they come. She can be as mean as they come, too. Chevelle is very competitive, and a good fight will make Chevelle do what she’s gotta do.”

With Garside’s 40-5 amateur record and her 7-0-1 record in the pros, Campbell realizes she brings a lot of experience to the ring, but he knows about Chevelle’s skill first hand. “You know Chevelle is my sparring partner,” he stated. ” Chevelle can do it all and do anything in the ring she has a mind to. She is one of the best fighters of her era. She lost to Luica Rijker in only her second pro fight and beat Emiko Raika in Japan — I was in her corner. Chevelle has experience out of this world and you can’t ask for much more than that.”

Along with experience against such tough fighters as Rijker, Campbell reminds Garside that Chevelle also comes to the ring with equal ability in both hands. “She better be careful,”Nate warned. “Chevelle can punch with both hands. If they’re looking for a faded warrior to put Garside on the map with a win, I don’t see it being Chevelle Hallback. I don’t believe any woman can beat her at 100-percent.”

Hallback and Garside collide for the IFBA lightweight championship when “Finally” brings the best of women’s championship boxing to PPV live from the Isleta Resort Casino in Albuquerque on Friday, June 13, at 10 PM/ET-8 PM/MT.
