AFO “The Perfect Storm” Saturday Sept. 16th – Wonderland Enterainment Complex in Revere, MA

On Friday September 16th, the American Fighting Organizations returns to the Wonderland Entertainment Complex in Revere, MA an evening of mixed martial arts featuring the region’s best fighters.
“We’ve got some excellent prospects on this show”, said AFO President Pete Dilorenzo,” Including the pro debut of Ricardo Georges and fights featuring several of his teammates at Team Pradal Seray located in nearby Lynn.”
In the main event, pro debuting Ricardo “The Water Buffalo” Georges will meet veteran Ralph Johnson (5-4, 5 KO’s) in welterweight bout. Georges, originally from Gonaives, Haiti and now living in Malden, MA, is a graduate of Revere High School who was named runner-up for the Boston Herald’s “Amateur Fighter of the Year” award in 2010.
Georges will look to take his skills to the pro ranks against Johnson, a colorful fighter from Worcester, MA who last appeared in an AFO cage in July sporting pink and blonde hair while knocking out Brockton’s Shawn Baker with a perfectly places muay Thai knee to the head.
Georges Team Pradal Seray teammate Luis Torres will be in action against Mike Hulbert in the welterweight division. The undefeated Sityotong lightweight prospect Lewis Corapi (5-0), a graduate of Northeastern University, will make his return to the AFO. Also, Corapi’s Sityotong teammate Rob Font will make his pro debut against Franklin Isabel in a featherweight match-up.
The show will also include a full undercard of amateur bouts. Team Pradal Seray’s Matt Doherty and Xavier Vargas will see action in separate bouts. Doherty will take on hot prospect Kody Nordby and Vargas will meet an opponent to be announced. Melrose, Massachusetts’ Vyachaslav Phinney will take on former two division AFO title challenger Sergio Cabrera and Nick Logan will take on Team Pradal Seray’s Dan Cannaughton, who will be making his MMA debut.
Making his return to the AFO, New York’s Dickie White will also see action a lightweight bout.
