Chuck Barbee’s Kids Wrestling Program Now in the Phoenix Metro/Ahwatukee Area

Infinity Wrestling Academy will coach and teach wrestling to area kids and further highlight the kids in IWA and the greater Phoenix Area.

 

 

All programs are for kids 7-12 years old
Collegiate Style Wrestling Only

Probably one of the best reasons to wrestle with the Infinity Wrestling Academy is to be in a room that is focused on high quality youth wrestling only. This ensures the training environment is age appropriate and tailored to the needs of the group.

IWA Starter Program

The IWA Starter Program is designed to get the new and/or novice wrestler the experience, confidence and coordination needed to help them excel in the IWA “No Limits” program. Some of the areas covered in this class are: wrestling rules, positions, basic techniques, agility skills, wrestling drills and other introductory topics…your child will be ready to advance at the end of this 4 week class.

Program Dates:    September 8, 2011- September 29, 2011*
Nights:                   Tuesday and Thursday Evenings
Times:                    6:30-7:30pm
Cost:                      $55.00 for a total of 7 practice sessions

IWA “No Limits” Program

The “No Limits” program is designed for wrestlers who have at least one year of experience or have completed the IWA Starter Program. This program will provide your wrestlers with a set of skills that will allow him/her to advance to the highest level of our sport. Practices will be fun and tough at the same time with an emphasis on learning and drilling followed by progressive live wrestling.

Program Dates:     October 4, 2011- February 9, 2011*
Nights:                   Tuesday and Thursday Evenings
Times:                    6:15pm-7:30pm
Cost:                      $195.00 for a total of 37 practice sessions
Discounts:              $25.00 discount for the 2nd and 3rd sibling in the same household.

Special Note:       No workouts on the following dates: November 24, 2011 December 20, 22, 2011

Coach Chuck Barbee

Coach Barbee has been involved with wrestling for over 30 years either as a competitor or a coach.  Over those 30+ years Coach Barbee has coached at Golden HS in Golden Colorado, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, University of Oklahoma, United States Military Academy as well as being the owner and coach for several kids wrestling clubs in Oklahoma and New York.

Coach Barbee has taught wrestling to literally thousands of wrestlers of all ages, shapes and sizes.  The philosophy at Infinity Wrestling Academy is that there are “No Limits” to what you can do in both wrestling and in life.  Coach Barbee believes strongly in having a wide variety of technical skills and the confidence to use them during competition.  This is achieved through systematic coaching and drilling.  IWA wrestlers will be able to take advantage of coaching techniques that have been developed while training some of the best athletes in the country.  A master at breaking down technique, Coach Barbee can help your young wrestler get the skills and technique needed so that they can progress and have even more fun…learning to wrestle!!
