DOES THE WBC REALLY CARE?

Greetings,

As we all know, the WBC heavily publicizes their “world boxing cares” program. This is a great program because time and money are donated to those in need. They also have held clinics about the safety of the sport, which is very important. Unfortunately, the WBC may be doing this as a cover up.

If the WBC truly is concerned about the health and safety of the fighters, why did they let Oscar Larios, who is medically suspended following a brain injury fight for the WBC interim featherweight title? Larios’ stopped Feider Viloria a few weeks back in Mexico. We all know what Larios’ deal is but lets take a look at Viloria. Viloria was stopped in the fight prior to facing Larios and has only two wins against fighters with winning records. Viloria also has a ton of empty space on his records, look at who he had been fighting to get to 21-2 before facing Larios (http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=145631&cat=boxer)

The worst part about this is that Larios is now in line for a rematch with the same man who caused his brain injury, Jorge Linares. Why would the WBC do this, I thought the WBC cares about the fighters?

I’d love to hear some input from you on this situation becuase maybe there is something I am missing.
