KAY WEST ADDED TO TELEFUTURA FIGHT CARD

June 18, 2008 — Female sensation Kaliesha “Wild Wild” West (8-0-0, 1 KO) has been added to the Golden Boy Promotions fight card which will take place at the Morongo Hotel & Casino on Friday, June 27th. The bout will be televised on Telefutura.

The Moreno Valley native is scheduled to square off against veteran boxer Elizabeth Villarreal at 124 lbs. West is coming off an impressive 2nd round TKO over Flor Verdugo in Mexico last March and is planning to entertain fight fans in front of her home crowd and showcase her boxing skills to those watching all over the nation.

When asked about her upcoming bout, West stated that “I’m pumped up that I get to fight in my hometown. The last time I fought in front of my hometown, the crowd pumped me up and I had one of my best fights. The crowd always motivates me to fight harder. I want to show that I’m going to be a force to be reckoned with in women’s boxing.”
