Takedown Radio to Broadcast at U.S. World Team Trials
For two days the top Olympic hopefuls in men’s freestyle, men’s Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle will compete for coveted spots on the 2007 U.S. World Team. In addition, Grappling, the new international wrestling style, will host its first World Team Trials on the mats at the Convention Center.
Takedown Wrestling Radio will again provide coverage, interviews and the color of the 2007 U.S. World Team Trials on behalf of USA Wrestling. Brute Adidas, USA Wrestling along with all of our other great sponsors have stepped up to bring this broadcast to you. TDR hosts Scott Casber and Steve Foster will be joined by many accomplished athletes including double Pride Championship Title Holder Dan “Hollywood” Henderson, Olympic Silver Medalist, UFC Veteran, IFL Team Owner and Coach Matt “The Law” Lindland and current UFC Heavy Weight Champion Randy “The Natural” Couture.
In the three Olympic styles of wrestling, this event will determine the 2007 U.S. World Team that will compete at the 2007 World Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 71-23.
In Grappling, this event will determine the 2007 U.S. World Team that will compete at the 2007 World Wrestling Games in Antalya, Turkey, Sept. 17-23.
There are expected to be seven World or Olympic champions in the field, as well as 21 past World medalists competing in the Olympic styles at the World Team Trials.
Saturday, June 9th, we take to the air with our regular 2 hour radio/Internet broadcast starting at 9 AM CST and then its Takedownradio.com for the balance of the 2 day broadcast.

Also a big thanks to John Rizzutti who tried to join us at the Hall of Fame induction’s, got to within a block of the event and his car was flooded out by the torrential rains that hit Stillwater, OK that evening. This caused over 10 thousand dollars in damage to his engine. I’ll pray that insurance covers this damage. John remains a good friend of ours and we thank him for his sacrifice.
