The Special One becomes adidas’ boxing ambassador
Unbeaten Welterweight star Kell Brook has signed a sponsorship deal with sports clothing giant adidas – becoming their UK boxing ambassador.
Brook’s first outing in the iconic three stripes brand will be on October 8 at Ponds Forge in his hometown of Sheffield when he fights the dangerous Pole Rafal Jackiewicz in a World title eliminator.
The Steel City hero is gunning for a World title shot after stepping up in class with an impressive points victory over teak tough Lovemore N’dou in June, and his deal with adidas is another step towards super stardom for the 25 year-old.
“I’m thrilled to join some of the biggest names in sport as an ambassador for adidas,” said Brook. “Their range is fantastic and I cannot wait to step out in Sheffield on October 8 and put on a great show in my new gear.”
“I’m delighted to have agreed this deal for Kell. He is a special talent and with the backing of adidas behind him, we can raise his profile to a whole new level on route to dominating the 147 division,” said Hearn.
“We recognise true quality and that is why we are excited to sponsor Kell,” said David Mills, managing director of Cimac, the official suppliers of adidas boxing in the UK. “We believe he will be a future World Champion and we are excited to be part of that journey”
Tickets for Kell Brook vs. Rafal Jackiewicz, plus a full championship undercard, are on sale now from Matchroom Sport price £30 unreserved, £50 ringside and £80 inner ringside – call 01277 359900.
