US Freestyle Head Coach Zeke Jones breaks it all down in this 1 on 1 interview with Scott Casber of Takedown Wrestling.
Last year the USA finished 22nd at the Freestyle World Wrestling Championships. This year the Freestyle men placed 3rd and came close to winning the tournament. Former Nebraska NCAA Champion Jordan Burroughs’ had an incredible tournament and ended it by winning Gold. Stepping it up was Jake Varner who won a bronze. In all five of the seven weights qualified for the Olympics. Iowa City is going to be exciting for sure.
The USA did very well according to Zeke Jones even in the face of very stiff competition from the rest of the world.
