Celebrate Independence Day Weekend with a Bang!

NAAFS “Brawl at the Hall” Update

6/20/07 – Warren, OH: July 7th, 2007 the North American Allied Fight Series (NAAFS) invades Warren, Ohio for a night of history as the regions premiere MMA organization blasts its way into Trumbull County for the first time ever with an Independence Day celebration fans wont soon forget. What better way to celebrate the 4th of July weekend then by catching the hardest hitting MMA experience this side of the Mississippi….

With the historic and prestigious Packard Music hall as its backdrop, the NAAFS will unleash round number six of the 2007 national series and will once again feature many of the NAAFS’ biggest names. Fresh off back to back fight of the year like performances, Paul “Str8 outta” Compton (8-1) will bring his fast paced style to the NAAFS cage as he collides with cross-state rival Danny “Lil Thunder” Balon (6-2) of Erie, PA in what promises to be an action packed main event showdown.

Hometown favorite and former collegiate wrestling standout Chris Canale (3-2) will battle the unbeaten Steve Cotterman (2-0) in the evening’s co-main event. Canale, now 1-1 in NAAFS competition, will need this win to stay in contention for the 2007 light heavyweight amateur title while Cotterman will make his NAAFS debut in front of what will likely be a very pro-Canale crowd.

Two of the NAAFS’s top rated lightweights will do battle when Team Instigators Zach Sutek (3-1) takes on Fruitport, Michigan’s Jon “The Cobra” Rohn (3-1) in another highly anticipated match-up. Sutek has impressed NAAFS followers thus far with his aggressive and overpowering pursuit in the cage however Rohn may be just the man to slow Sutek down as he brings an a-level ground game into this fight and is a threat to submit any opponent.

Rising NAAFS stars Dominique Vanest of Team Instigator and Team Anarchy’s Justin “The Shark” Clark will clash in a 205 pound battle with the winner taking a large leap forward in the over-all standings as neither fighter has yet to taste defeat. In addition…. top ranked welterweights, Ricky “The Thriller” Miller (3-0) and Cleveland’s Frank “The Tank” Carabello (3-3) are also slated to compete in Warren along with middleweight standouts Mickey Hughes (2-0) and Milan Wesley (2-1) of the Strong Style Fight team.
