July 23, 2008 — Justin Fortune, former Australian Heavyweight Boxer who fought Lennox Lewis for the World Title has opened a boxing gym in the heart of Hollywood. Fortune is well known for his strength and conditioning work-outs as well as previously working with superstars such as Manny Pacquaio, Israel Vasquez, Brian Villoria, Mike Tyson and James Toney to name a few. Fortune is now starting to build his own stable of fighters and would like to openly welcome others to his gym for sparring or conditioning.
Justin has over 20 years of boxing experience and his workouts are known to push Champions to their limits. Muscle and Fitness says “Fortune takes men to the point where they’re sure they can’t possibly continue and then he has them work harder.”
Since opening the doors of Fortune Gym, the following fighters are training on technique, strength and conditioning: Miguel Espino, Jose Navarro, Armen Ovsepyan, Ramzan Adaev, Buddy Tyson, Tyrell Hendrix, Lowell Brownfield, Hermann Binek, and Ricky Quiles. In addition to boxing, MMAers are also coming in to the gym to work on their striking skills such as Babalu, Ryo Chonan, Jason Mayhem Miller and Alberto Crane.
At Fortune Gym, there are plenty of workout stations for professional fighters and people who want to train like fighters. Fortune would like to invite anyone who wants to train like a Champion for a 12-Round bout or anyone who just wants to shed a few pounds. There are four qualified boxing trainers at Fortune Gym with over 60 years of experience.
Fortune Gym also has classes available with certified instructors in Mixed Martial Arts, Jiu Jitsu, Close Quarter Contact, Muay Thai and Power Yoga.
