IBF CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION, STEVE “USS” CUNNINGHAM CONGRATULATES THE PHILADELPHIA SOUL ON BECOMING PHILADELPHIA’S NEWEST WORLD CHAMPION

Philadelphia (July 28, 2008)—IBF Cruiserweight champion, Steve “USS” Cunningham wants to send congratulations to John Bon Jovi & The Philadelphia Soul for winning the Arena League world championship on Sunday and joining Cunningham as the only current world champions in the sports-crazed city.
“I watched the game on Sunday and they showed great resiliency that it takes to become a world champion and I want to send them my congratulations for that great game.” Cunningham said.
“I have met a few of the players that are involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes and they are class guys so I am very happy for their success. It’s great that a man such as Jon Bon Jovi can bring such excitement to the city and it culminated on Sunday. I know what it takes with hard work which is a great feeling when the end result is being crowned world champion.”
Cunningham, 21-1 with eleven knockouts won The IBF Cruiserweight title fourteen months ago with a majority decision over Krysztof Wlodarczyk in Poland and then defended the crown last December 28^th with a twelfth round knockout of Marco Huck in Germany.
