Adrian Diaconu and Silvio Branco square off for the WBC lightheavy title November 8 probably in Romania.

Ex-EBU middle champ Amin Asikainen will now take on Brazilian Roberto De Oliveira de Jesus October 30 in Tampere, Finland, in what is a final tuneup before going after his old title (now vacant) against Khoren Gevor. The original opponent, Claudio Ariel Abalos, was forced out due to visa problems. Russian jr welter Dennis Shafikov, nicknamed “Djingis Khan” face Slovakian Andrzej Sark. Talented Edis Tatli, also at jr welter, square off against Brazilian Idiozan Matos. Heavies Sami Elovaara and Juho Haapoja are featured on separate bouts against selected opponents to set up a showdown for the national title later in the fall.

Arena Box Promotion have switched venue for their planned September 12 show and will now stage it in Cuxhaven in the North of Germany instead of at Palma de Mallorca. The show features Cubans Odlanier Solis and Erislandy Lara, WBC Int´l welter champ Selcuk Aydin and Germans Steffen Kretschmann and Timo Gross.
