The Lotto Arena in Antwerp, Belgium, is booked for November 11 with former EBU welter champ Jackson Osei Bonsu scheduled to take on Argentinian Carlos Baldomir. Some sources say this is a WBC eliminator but if a fighter can come off a loss into an eliminator is doubtful. But the fight itself appears to be on.
German middleweights Marco Schulze and Enrico Wolf clash in an internal SES eliminator October 10 in Barlepen. Jr welter Oliver Guettel and heavyweight Timo Hoffmann headlines.
Lightheavy Jurgen Brahmer seems now to be ON and nothing else for the WBA titlefight November 22 against champ Hugo Hernan Garay. The legal problems that Bild Zeitung wrote a big article about earlier this week were perhaps blown out of proportion or whatever but appears now to be out of the way.
Amin Asikainen vs Khoren Gevor for the vacant EBU middleweight title have been moved from October 24 to November 28. The site remains the same: the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki. In the chief support heavies Sami Elovaara and Juha Haapoja clash for the vacant Finnish title. Russian jr welter Dennis Shafikov will fight a ten or twelve rounder in the third mainbout.
French jr middle Christophe Canclaux face Estonian spoiler Albert Starikov September 20 in Bielefeld on the undercard to Monrose vs Huck.
Peter Pelk Promotions, licensed by the GBA, have cruiser Robert Rolle headlining its show in Bautzen October 4. Rolle is billed as the IBF East/West European champ, a rather shady title I´m not sure if the IBF itself are fully behind. EuroSport televise the mainfights. The GBA, German Boxing Associations, now have an Austrian brand billed as the ABA, in Netherlands a NBA is being formed and the GBA also threatens with a DBA in Denmark.
