WHAT: Lamont and Anthony Peterson will spend this Thanksgiving week helping those in need as they volunteer to serve and deliver Thanksgiving meals and baskets to some of the Washington DC’s less fortunate residents.
On Tuesday, November 22, the brothers will join District of Columbia Ward 8 CouncilmemberMarion Barry to help pass out turkeys to Ward 8 residents. Later in the day, the Petersons will travel to Martha’s Table to speak with a group of at-risk youths and pass out Thanksgiving baskets to needy families supported by the organization. On Thursday, November 24, Thanksgiving Day, they will join the staff at the Central Union Mission to prepare and serve food to members of the homeless community.

FACTS: “Capital Showdown: Khan vs. Peterson,” a 12-round Unified Super Lightweight World Title Fight for Khan’s WBA World Super Championship and IBF World Championship taking place on Saturday, Dec. 10 at the Walter E. Also featured will be a 10-round heavyweight battle between Seth “Mayhem” Mitchell and Timur Ibragimov.
