LEMOORE — He was a Central Valley mixed martial arts favorite that moved on to fight in some of the world’s top-tier organizations.

But Newport Beach’s Justin Levens is making a return to the Central Valley and the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino on October 18th for the Palace Fighting Championship’s “Project Complete”.

“I’m very happy to be back fighting there. I have always loved fighting in Lemoore. The crowd and the fans are the best,” said Levens, who inked a 3-fight deal with the PFC recently. “It’s always a good high-energy level there. I have a good fan base there, they’re always happy to see me and I’m happy to fight for them.”

Levens has compiled a 9-6 record since starting his MMA career in May of 2004. He’s recently lost three straight fights in the International Fight League fighting for the Southern California Condors.

Levens is also a World Extreme Cagefighting and Ultimate Fighting Championship veteran. He’s fought some of the top competition in the sport.

“We were very interested in bringing Justin to the PFC from day one. He was a part of some of the most memorable bouts here at The Palace and he brings excitement,” said Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino Entertainment Director Christian Printup. “Justin’s career has kind of been a roller coaster the last year or year and a half. We expect him to come in looking to prove a point and make a statement. He’s a serious challenge for anyone at 185 pounds. It’s that simple. I think there are tremendous potential fights for him in the PFC.”

And Levens expects to make an immediate splash in the fan-friendly PFC, which has sold out three consecutive shows.

“I promise I will destroy whoever they put in front of me. I am on a mission to be one of the best fighters to ever walk in the cage/ring,” Levens said. “I want to get the title in the PFC and always put on a good fight for them.”

There has been no announcement on who Levens will debut against in the PFC in October.

But Printup expects Levens to vie for the vacant middleweight title right away.

“We’re honored and excited to be able to again give Justin a stage to display his tremendous skills for the great MMA fans in Central California,” Printup said.

Also confirmed for PFC 4 is a lightweight battle between Enseneda, Mexico’s Olaf Alfonso (5-7) and Hesperia’s Thomas Denny (12-15). The lightweight title will also be up for grabs when San Bernardino’s Shad Smith (9-7-1) puts his title on the line against Lemoore’s Poppies Martinez (9-3).

North Hollywood’s Lodune Sincaid (10-4), Fresno’s Jorge Evangelista (4-2-1), Merced’s Brian Granados (3-0) and Porterville’s Morris Aldaco (5-0) will also be in action.

Also the much anticipated pro debut’s of Hanford’s Luis Gonzalez and Hanford’s Jeremy Luchau are on tap.
