Fire and rescue supplier sponsor Super Middleweight king on December 17
Carl Froch has signed a sponsorship deal with West Yorkshire fire and rescue supply company North Fire ahead of his Super-Middleweight unification showdown with Andre Ward on December 17 in Atlantic City.
Froch puts his WBC belt on the line in the Super Six final at the Boardwalk Hall and is confident of defending his strap and taking Ward’s WBA crown as the Super Six tournament draws to a close.
Froch’s stablemate Kell Brook makes his US debut on the same bill and the unbeaten Sheffield Welterweight is also backed by the company. North Fire were established in 2008 as the official exclusive sales and service agent for Rosenbauer International, supplying the UK and Ireland’s Fire and Rescue Services with Aerial Fire Trucks and Fire Fighting Equipment. In 2011 they were voted Business of the Year by the Mid Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
“I’m delighted that North Fire are backing me on the biggest night of my career,” said Froch. “It’s going to be a red hot occasion and I plan on putting on a great display for my newest sponsor.”
“North Fire are proud to be sponsoring Carl in the Super Six final,” said North Fire managing director, Oliver North. “With a thoroughly world class pairing of Froch and Brook representing the UK on the same bill in the States, ‘Team North Fire’ are set to make a true statement of British boxing.
“Froch is undoubtedly the classiest fighter throughout Europe, pound for pound, and arguably one of the best world-wide. We’re extremely happy to have Carl representing us on such a monumental night for boxing and are confident Carl will fly the flag proudly for British boxing whilst bearing the North Fire brand in the process. We hope that after claiming success on the night, The Cobra will receive the significant acclaim which he deserves after such a long run of world class performances.”
North Fire join a growing list of sponsors backing Froch alongside Lonsdale, One True Saxon and NRG Fuel.
