UFC/IFL Veteran Josh “The Dentist” Neer to take on UFC/Pride Veteran
Paul Rodriguez at GreenSparks Fighting Championship 5: ELITE – July
27th, 2007 in Des Moines, IA.

This event will be in association with GLORY Fighting Championships

Des Moines July 27, 2007- On July 27th, 2007, UFC/IFL Veteran
Josh “The Dentist” Neer will be challenging UFC/Pride Veteran Paul
Rodriguez. These two competitors train out of the best Mixed Martial
Arts camps in the world, Miletich Fighting Systems, and American Top
Team – respectfully.

Josh Neer is best known as the first MMA Superstar to hail from Des
Moines. The always aggressive Neer has fought some of the best
competition in the world and now looks to show case his skills for
his home crowd. Neer knows this will be one of his most challenging
fights and is ready to show how he received the nickname “The
Dentist”.

Paul Rodriguez has participated in MMA competitions for nearly a
decade. Rodriguez has earned a KO victory over Denis Hallman, the
only man to own two un-avenged wins over former UFC Welterweight
Champion Matt Hughes. Rodriguez also impressively fought to a
decision with current Pride Lightweight Champion Takanori Gomi.

This marks GreenSparks Fighting Championships 5th event, and we
strive to put on some of the best shows in the Midwest. GreenSparks
takes pride in putting together the best fight cards in Central Iowa
and is proud to be the last event Jeremy Stephens fought in before
starting his career in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
GreenSparks’ ELITE will consist of 10 bouts with up and coming
fighters like Brian Green, Doug “No Mercy” Onstot, Ben Crowder,
Timmy Gorman, Micah Bowles, Tony Crowder, and more.

The event weight-ins will be held at Bogies Pub on Hickman Rd at
7:00p.m on July 26th, 2007. GreenSparks Fighting Championship 5:
ELITE doors open at 6:00 PM, with the event beginning at 8:00 PM.
