Takedown Wrestling Media and the Marines have established a relationship to promote the Marine Corps and allow Takedown Wrestling to continue its unrivaled growth. Takedown Wrestling Media’s national TV audience is now estimated at over 12 million homes.

The United States Marine Corps has a rich and glorious history. 236 years ago America’s first Marines became the tip of our nations spear. They stormed the shores of Tripoli and battled the Barbary Pirates. It was strong men who carried the banner then and strong men and women who fight for our country today. Many Marines have wrestled and understand the work ethic of wrestlers. Wherever you see wrestling, you’ll see the Marines!

Takedown Wrestling TV is a 30-minute weekly news program covering amateur wrestling in the U.S.  Host Scott Casber updates viewers on the latest developments in college and international wrestling, conducts insightful interviews with the sport’s top wrestlers and coaches, sharing his passion for the “oldest and greatest sport” in a fun, fast-paced show. Takedown Wrestling is available on the Fight Now TV Network, Mediacom Cable Midwest, Time Warner Sports NY/ Texas, Cox Cable, Comcast Cable and other systems around the country  and can be viewed online at www.TakedownRadio.com and at over thirty other affiliated amateur wrestling web sites.

“Takedown Wrestling TV and Radio reaches the nation’s most dedicated athletes and their families. 365 days a year they cover the sport that matters. We count on Scott Casber and his team to provide the needed coverage of wrestling at all levels while promoting the values of the Marine Corps.  said Recruiting Station Des Moines Commanding Officer, Major Sean T. Quinlan.  “We’re excited to add Takedown Wrestling to our family as we draw the parallel between wrestling and the Marine Corps. I appreciate this demanding sport and its athletes.”

Casber, founder of Takedown Wrestling Media, said, “This is an important step for athletes, coaches and wrestling fans of across the country. The Marine Corps is our nations front line defense. They understand the wrestling community. This is a very special opportunity to join with The Marine Corps in the further promotion of the sport.”

Mike Moyer, the NWCA Executive Director said “The Marine Corps has established a beachhead in wrestling with its long standing relationship with the National Wrestling Coaches Association. When it comes to wrestling the Marine Corps is All In. The Marines have been supporting every NWCA initiative and event since 2002. They talk and work with America’s youth, encourage parents, coaches and administrators. Provide opportunity where otherwise there might be none. The Marines have continually shown their leadership through our sport.  The staff and membership of the NWCA is forever grateful for the extraordinarily loyal and ongoing support of the US Marine Corps,” said Moyer.
