Rances “Kid Blast” Barthelemy (14-0, 11 KOs) will not be in for an easy night when he steps in the ring on February 3 against fellow undefeated Hylon Williams Jr. (15-0, 3 KOs).
The two up-and-coming warriors will meet in the eight-round co-main event of the ESPN Friday Night Fights-televised Warriors Boxing and Sampson Boxing event entitled “Superbrawls” this Friday (February 3), in the Dallas Events Center at the Texas Station Gambling Hall & Hotel in Las Vegas.
Superbrawls will be topped by a 10-round light heavyweight main event between Colombian powerhouse Edison “Pantera” Miranda and South Africa’s WBC #6, WBA #13, and WBO #14-rated Isaac “Golden Boy” Chilemba, and also feature a battle of unbeaten heavyweight prospects Magomed Abdusalamov (12-0, 12 KOs) Moscow, Russia, and Cuba’s Pedro Rodriguez (8-0, 6 KOs).
Standing an amazing 5′ 11″ the towering Barthelemy had an impressive amateur career, competing in 200 fights and earning the Cuban junior national championship before defecting to the United States. He is coming off a knockout victory over Mexican Alejandro Barrera on the Lucian Bute-Glenn Johnson undercard in Quebec City, Canada in November.
With his relentlessly aggressive style, the 25-year-old Cuban power puncher has proven to be one of the most exiting up-and-comers in the game.
In Hylon Williams Jr., he will face his biggest test since turning professional in August 2009.
21-year-old Hylon Williams Jr. will also be in with the best opponent of his career, so far.
Originally from Houston, Williams is blessed with blazing hand speed and incredible balance. He was a highly decorated amateur who went 145-20 and won several national and international tournaments.
The match-up will be a classic boxer vs. puncher duel and in the end, SOMEONE’S 0 MUST GO!!!
DON’T MISS IT.
