On last Sunday, March 1st 2009, Shidokan Germany has held the 8th edition of “This is SHIDO!” in the Octagon of the Sakura Dojo in Lossburg.

Results:

C-Class

-77 kg: Max “Maximus” Schmid (GTT Akademie Metzingen) vs. Serkan Gorsoy (Shidokan Dojo Aargau/Schweiz). Winner Max Schmied after 0:25 minutes in round 1 via Sidechoke.

-93 kg: Michael Heist (Sakura Dojo Lossburg) vs. Albert Ivelic (Shidokan Dojo Aargau/Schweiz). Winner Albert Ivelic after 2 rounds by points (14:8)

Welterweight 4-Man-Tournament -77 kg

1. Semi-Final: Matthias Merkle (GTT Akademie Metzingen) vs. Daniel Talmon (Sakura Dojo Lossburg). Winner Matthias Merkle after 2 rounds by points (10:8)

2. Semi-Final: Max “Maximus” Schmid (GTT Akademie Metzingen) vs. Brendan Kilfoyle (Team Catacombs/USA). Winner Brendan Kilfoyle after 2 rounds by points (6:0)

Final: Matthias Merkle (GTT Akademie Metzingen) vs. Brendan Kilfoyle (Team Catacombs/USA). Winner Matthias Merkle after 2 rounds by points (14:11)

B-Class

-84 kg: Michael Heist (Sakura Dojo Lossburg) vs. Igor Montes-Kircher (Team German Oak Stuttgart). Winner Michael Heist after 1:00 minutes in round 1 via Mata Leao.

KIRU – The Beginning on March 22nd in Prüm
On March 22nd Shidokan Germany will host the first show of the new series “KIRU” with the title “The Beginning” in the Kongresszentrum in Prüm (Germany). Fighters from Brazil, France, Switzerland, Italy, Luxembourg, Poland and Germany will battle for glory.
