Team Gee Culmer

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

London, UK/Philadelphia, PA, USA – 31st March 2009

Super Middleweight contender, Gee Culmer (15 (3 KOs)-1), returns to the Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia this Friday at the ‘Israel vs Italy’ event headlined by powerful Israeli Cruiserweight Ran Nakash (17 (13 KOs)-0) against local boy Dave Brunelli (8 (3 KOs)-4 (2 KOs)).

Gee, who beat fellow Philly fighter Jameel Wilson on his last outing on 12th September ‘08, will be hoping to continue the one hundred percent success rate of Philadelphia’s premier training facility, The James Shuler Memorial Gym, in 2009 – NABA Light Heavyweight Champ, Yusaf Mack, added the NABF crown when he beat Chris Henry on the 6th February. This was followed by Jamaal ‘Da Truth’ Davis, who is better known as Tyson, beating Clarence Taylor on the 6th March and then just this past weekend, perhaps the most significant of victories, ‘Fast’ Eddie Chambers getting a well earned decision victory over former WBC Heavyweight World Champion Samuel Peter, which should earn him a chance to face one of the Klitschko brothers in the near future.

During a break in his preparations, under the watchful eyes of his trainer Percy ‘Buster’ Custus, Gee said. “I’ve been getting some great work in. Buster has stepped things up again and working me hard. Tyson’s been testing me hard, the sparring has been real good. I’m not sure who I’ll be fighting yet so have to mix it up. I’ll be ready for whoever it is.”

The Vernoca L. Michael and Blue Horizon Boxing Promotions Inc. promoted ‘Israel vs. Italy’ event features unbeaten Israeli knockout artist Ran Nakash against former Heavyweight Dave Brunelli in the eight round Cruiserweight main event of the exciting night of boxing at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia on Friday 3rd April 2009.

Also on the card will be a six round Jr. Welterweight battle of the Philadelphians as Tyric “Too Sweet” Robinson (9 (3 KOs)-3-1) faces Julias Edmonds (4-3)

Further top class bouts, including the return of the highly popular Israeli Light Welterweight Elad Shmouel (19 (10 KOs)-2 (KO 1)), are due to be announced shortly.
