Live from our Brute adidas Studios this week for our traditional broadcast of America’s Wrestling radio program as we hit the air Saturdays at 9 AM CST for 2 big hours of wrestling talk.

This week we are pleased to announce the addition of Super Talk AM 1570, Flint-Saginaw, Michigan to our broadcast partners. Thanks to Matside Michigan and Mychal Grenawalt for making this possible. Our broadcast schedule will be solidified later this week but we should hit the air late Saturday afternoons.

This week on TDR-

Mike Chapman- Executive Director of the Dan Gable International Wrestling Institute and Hall of Fame. The Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame inductions have taken place 2 weekends ago. Chapman will discuss coming events including the Inductions in to the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Pro Wrestling Hall of Fame Class of 2009.

Lou Rosselli- Asst. Coach at The Ohio State University. One of the top candidates vacant positions, Lou joins us to discuss Rowlands departure and the performance of Humphrey and Triggas at the University National Championships. How cool is it to have J Jaggers stay and begin his career as a coach at The Ohio State University. Tune in to find out Lou’s thoughts.

John Hardt- AD at Bucknell. The top Bison is the reason why wrestling is back at Bucknell. The former standout football star at Iowa will join us to update us on his athletic program that has enjoyed a rebirth if you will that started with his arrival. Wrestling could not have a better friend than John Hardt.

Tom Minkel- Michigan State Spartan Head Coach goes 1 on 1 with us and discusses his super charged star Franklin Gomez and his improbable year. Senior wrestler Rex Kendle’s appearance on the Jim Rome Show and former Spartan now UFC Champion Sugar Rashad Evans.

Pat Santoro- Hd Coach of the Mountain Hawks joins us to discuss the just completed 100th season of Lehigh Wrestling, Lehigh freshman Zach Rey went 5-0 to win the 120kg/264 lb. weight class title at the University National Championships in Akron, Ohio last weekend. Rey’s victory led a Lehigh contingent of 13 wrestlers who competed in the freestyle event, including three others who placed in the top eight in their respective weight classes. The event capped a successful spring freestyle season for the Mountain Hawks, who also placed two wrestlers at the FILA Junior National Championships in Las Vegas and had nine grapplers compete in the Northeast Regional Freestyle Championships in Brockport, N.Y

Ryan Williams- ODU Standout became just the second ODU NCAA Division I wrestling finalist as well as the all-time leader in wins. The 141-pounder led the team to its highest national ranking in school history, at 16th, as well as the highest individual ranking for a wrestler under head coach Steve Martin, at third in the nation. Williams finished the season with a 39-4 overall record, including a 22-1 performance in duals and a perfect 5-0 CAA mark.
