I received an interesting email in mid-April asking me to review some beef jerky. Kenny from Jerky.Com at first told me he was going to send me out some pineapple jerky, and I distinctly remember thinking…I don’t know if I’ll like that, but I bet it’ll surprise me. Well, I’ve yet to find out, but I did get another project that’s more in tune with folks who follow this blog. Anyone who loves beef jerky and needs energy will love this product.

‘Lightning Rods’ are energy beef sticks designed to give the body much needed protein and nutrients while supplying enough energy supplements such as Guarana to keep it in motion. This product also contains Panax Ginseng and Lactic Acid Starter culture.

I was very satisfied with the product, and I gave it the old college try..which involved chopping the jerky up and tossing it in some freshly made Ramen Noodles like I did when I was in college. It tasted great, and it definitely gave me a great energy boost for the rest of the night. This beef jerky also tasted good right out of the wrapper. The flavor was subtle but tasty. I highly recommend it.
