PINEAPPLE JERKY: THE PERFECT FIGHTER FOOD

You’ve heard of pineapples on a pizza maybe and maybe cooked your last honey baked ham with some pineapple slices on it, but would you eat pineapple jerky?
I know, I was thinking the same thing: are they supposed to make pineapple into jerky…I thought that was just for beef.
But, yes, they do make pineapple jerky, and here’s how Jerky.com describes it:
“A healthy, one-of-a-kind gourmet snack. Hand-sliced pieces of pineapple are dehydrated and drizzled with honey, creating a sweet and tangy taste that will keep you coming back for more.”
I just had two in a row to help me write this article better, and I’m thinking this is a great way for fighters trying to lose weight to have something to eat that feels like a snack but really isn’t and won’t add weight like a typical meal. Plus, this stuff is completely all natural and healthy for you. Just pineapple and honey goes into a typical slice. And it’s made in Maui, so you know it’s fresh pineapple in those jerky slices.
The texture is just like jerky, and it takes some getting used to. At first you’re thinking you might not like it since it feels a little rubbery, but then it’s chew time. Each chew prolongs the really nice pineapple taste as it mixes with the honey. I’m thinking this might even be a way for someone addicted to chewing tobacco to quit, because it requires a lot of good chewing to get through a whole slice. When you get to the core piece it’s the toughest of all, but it’s still chewy. It’s almost as chewable as a piece of gum, but it doesn’t last quite as long.
I totally endorse this product and think I will probably even end up buying some myself.
