Fallen-Onyango co-feature on HUGE night of boxing at the most famous venue in the world

PHILADELPHIA (August 10, 2009)—On Friday night September 11th, boxing returns to The Legendary Blue Horizon as Steve Upsher Chambers will back in the ring a Jr. Welterweight bout that will headline Public Safety night at The Legendary Blue Horizon

Public Safety night will honor Police Officers, Firefighters and other security personnel in the Philadelphia area.

The card is promoted by Vernoca L. Michael and Blue Horizon Boxing Promotions Inc.

Chambers of Philadelphia has a record of 19-1-1 with five knockouts and is coming off nine month layoff where he battled a foot injury but is ready to get back in the ring on September 11th.

In his last bout, Chambers won a unanimous decision over Ben Ankrah last December 5th.

In one co-feature, Darren Fallen will battle Joshua Onyango in an eight round Jr. Middleweight bout

Fallen of Philadelphia has a record of 12-4-1 with six knockouts and is coming off two consecutive split decision victories over Carlos Pena. This will be Fallen’s fourth bout at The Legendary Blue Horizon (3-0)

Onyango has a vet deceiving record of 14-17-1 with eleven knockouts.

The native of Trenton, New Jersey via Lake Victoria, Kenya has been in with the very best in the world. The combined record of his opponents who have defeated Onyango is a staggering 254-17-3. To say he has been matched tough is an understatement as he has shared the ring with the likes of Paul Williams, Jose Luis Zertuche, Yuri Foreman, Terrence Cauthen and Carlos Quintana to name just a few,

Lost in all that, are a few signature victories such as a six round unanimous decision over Gabriel Rosado.

Onyango is coming off a six round unanimous decision defeat to Ed Paredes (20-2) on February 20th in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

This will be Onyango’s third appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon and first since dropping an eight round unanimous decision to Cauthen (29-3) on April 7th, 2006.

In a six round Jr. Lightweight bout of Blue Horizon regulars, Joselito Collado will put his undefeated ledger on the line against Jules Blackwell.

Collado has a record of 8-0 with two knockouts and will be making his third straight and fourth overall appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

The native of Queens, New York is coming off a six round unanimous decision over Darrell Martin (4-8) on May 15th.

Blackwell is back after a nine month layoff when he was stopped by the same Darrell Martin in three rounds at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

The native of Phoenixville, PA has a record of 8-2-2 with three knockouts. This will be Blackwell’s tenth appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon (7-2, 2 KO’s)

Popular Israeli Jr. Welterweight Elad Shmouel will return on September 11th against an opponent to be named in a scheduled six round bout.

The native of Tel Aviv sports an impressive record of 19-2 with ten knockouts.

Shmouel came back on February 6th to The Legendary Blue Horizon to stop Khristian Geraci in two rounds.

That was his first bout since his epic fight with Lenn DeVictoria which took place fourteen months earlier. This will be Shmouel’s eighth appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon (6-1, 2 KO’s)

In a four round Lightweight bout, Isaac Suarez (7-0, 2 KO’s) of Lancaster, PA battles Mondre Pope (1-0-1) of Virginia.

In a four round Welterweight bout, Joe Alonzo of Philadelphia makes his pro debut against Cleveland school teacher, William Brown (4-3, 2 KO’s)

Fresh off his Pro debut knockout on May 15th, heavyweight Makiti Ku-Tima will see action in four round bout against an opponent to be named.

Richard Brown (4-0, 2 KO’s) of Fort Lauderdale, Florida will take on Kevin Hood (5-11-1) of Coatsville, PA in a four round Heavyweight affair.

In a four round Jr. Welterweight bout, Ruslan Khayrtdinov (3-0, 1 KO) of Brooklyn, New York will take on an opponent to be announced.

Popular ladies welterweight, Jackie Davis (2-0, 1 KO) will take on Victoria Cisneros (3-6-2) of Albuquerque, New Mexico in a ladies Welterweight bout

Rounding out the card will be Philadelphia welterweight, Darrell Jones (1-0, 1 KO) in a four round bout against an opponent to be named and Phillip McCants (7-1-1, 3 KO’s) of Philadelphia in separate bouts.
