FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHILADELPHIA (August 31, 2009)—through the years, boxing has been built on fans getting behind fighters of a particular ethnic group. Over the past few years, a rabid fan base of Filipino boxing fans has emerged with the success of Manny Pacquiao.

On Friday September 11th, another “Pinoy” will try to emerge as the next great fighter of Filipino heritage as Jason Sia will make his pro debut as he takes on Deroy Beaton in a four round Jr. Welterweight bout at the Legendary Blue Horizon in North Philadelphia.
