RODRIGUEZ TAKES OUT VETERAN DAVIS IN THIRD ROUND

El Paso heavyweight contender David “Nino” Rodriguez took another step toward the heavyweight title Saturday with a third-round knockout of veteran Robert Davis at Arena Monterrey in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Rodriguez, improved his record to 32-0 with 30 knockouts, and stays on course to shake up the heavyweight rankings in 2010. Rodriguez is one of the most exciting young heavyweights in boxing today. With power in both fists and hand speed that belies his considerable size, Rodriguez is ready to make a move in a wide-open heavyweight division.
