FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PHILADELPHIA (SEPTEMBER 23, 2009)—It will be a festive night on Friday night, October 16th at The Legendary Blue Horizon as Greg Robinson’s Power Productions celebrates the 10th anniversary of the successful boxing promotion with an outstanding show that will be culminated in a USBA Jr. Middleweight title bout featuring Derek “Pooh” Ennis.

“There will be ceremony that will honor some of the people who have helped us reach this milestone”, said Robinson.

“We have some special things planned such awards and a video highlighting some of the great fights we have put on. We are also in contact with some of those fighters who have participated in the fights and they will be there to join us. It will be a very special night that all the great Philly boxing fans will certainly enjoy.”

In the main event, Derek “Pooh” Ennis will take on an opponent to be named in a twelve round tilt for the prestigious USBA Jr. Middleweight title.

Ennis of Philadelphia has a record 18-2-1 with twelve wins coming by knockout. Ennis has been longing for this opportunity as he quietly has been climbing the ladder by racking up six consecutive wins which includes his latest outing being a six round unanimous decision over John Mackey on July 10th in a nationally televised contest by ESPN 2 at The Arena in Philadelphia.

In that bout, Ennis scored two knockdowns en route to the victory over the game visitor from Alabama. Ennis was undefeated in his first eleven bouts (10-0-1) before a knockout loss to Allen Conyers on Showtime.

The undercard will be highlighted by Jr. Welterweight Tyric “Too Sweet” Robinson taking on Michael Mendez in a six round bout.

Robinson, of Philadelphia brings in a record of 9-4-1 with three knockouts.

He will be itching to get back in the win column as he has dropped two in a row to tough fights, Jason Cintron (8-0) and Julias Edmonds (4-3). In the Edmonds bout, which took place on April 3rd at The Legendary Blue Horizon, Robinson was severely hampered as he struggled to make the contracted weight.

This will be Robinson’s eighth appearance at The Legendary Blue Horizon.

Mendez will be motivated for this bout as he lost via fourth round stoppage to Robinson back on August 3rd, 2007.

The native of Orlando, Florida brings in a record of 6-13-3 with two knockouts and like Robinson is on a two fight slide with his most recent outing being a first round stoppage defeat at the hands to Fernando Torres (10-0-1) on February 28th in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

In a six round Super Featherweight bout, Coy Evans (4-0-1) will see action in a six round bout.

Evans of Philadelphia has been eager to get back in the ring as he has had several bouts fall through at latterly the last moment.

He is coming off a four round unanimous decision over Jose Espinal (5-3-1) on February 3rd in Brooklyn, NY.

This will be Evans third bout at The Legendary Blue Horizon (2-0)
