The mobile Brute Adidas studios will hit the road this Saturday for one of our first LIVE road shows of the year. Join Scott Casber and Steve Foster for what has now become a tradition on TDR.

We’ll talk with the wrestlers during and after practice, the coaches and some of the fans that will be on campus. our host for the weekend is Brad Penrith and his UNI Panthers. We’ll broadcast from their new Hall of Champions at West Gym. This will be an Audio and Video program. Please feel free to tune in at Takedownradio.com

After we get done at UNI we head across the street to the UNI Dome where Sandy Stevens will be holding court at the USAW’s Preseason National’s produced by Brian Keck. They are over 1000 athletes already and look to be way over double of their numbers from last year. We’ll tell this story on next weeks edition of TDR TV.

After that, we head to the Holiday Inn Cedar Falls to talk with Terry Brands, Jon McGovern and Dennis Hall at their first ever on line national coaches clinic for worldwrestlingresource.com

University of Northern Iowa Panthers Set to Stream Wrestle offs on TDR

Originally TDR was set to broadcast a regular room show at UNI this Saturday. Opportunity smiled and we now have the opportunity to present a live video stream of the UNI Wrestle-offs from the West Gym in Cedar Falls, Iowa. TDR starts at 9:06 AM CST for an hour pre-match show and then will continue through the wrestle offs. You can listen and watch by clicking on the live link on Takedownradio.com. That will take you to our partners at Livesportsvideo.com. We look forward to this first of the season event.

The University of Northern Iowa wrestling team will take to the mat for the first time in the 2009-10 season, hosting its annual inter-squad scrimmage. The wrestle-offs will begin Saturday,
Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. in the West Gym. The event is free and open to the public.

The Panthers are coming off a 22^nd place finish at the 2009 NCAA Championships after capturing their 24^th –straight West Regional title. The Panthers return seven national qualifiers including Trent Washington
and Christian Brantley. Both Washington and Brantley have found themselves ranked in preseason polls with Amateur Wrestling News ranking Washington No. 17 at the 141-pound slot and Brantley 11^th in the
heavyweight class. Intermat ranks Washington at No. 15 and Brantley at No. 12 for their respective weight classes.

UNI will open the regular season Nov. 14 at the Northwestern Duals where they will take on Eastern Michigan, Purdue and Stanford. UNI’s first home dual meet of the season will be Dec. 12 against Wisconsin at 2 p.m.
