ATLANTIC CITY (NOVEMBER 7, 2009)–it will be a tremendous night of championship boxing from Ballys in Atlantic City as the fighter regarded as the top prospect in America, Mike “MJ” Jones will take another step towards fighting for the Welterweight title when he battles the rugged Raul Pinzon for Jones’ NABA Welterweight title.

Jones of Philadelphia has a perfect record of 18-0 with fifteen knockouts and has been called in some circles as the next American star of the sport.

In his last outing, he made gofightlive.tv debut by beating up the tough Lennin Arroyo over ten rounds in the same Bally’s ring.

It has gotten to the point with Jones that some of the best Welterweights in the world want no parts of “MJ” as his last two opponents (Larry Mosley and Richard Gutierrez) have pulled out with injuries rather than take on the dynamic Jones.

Pinzon stepped up to the plate on a couple weeks notice in an effort to derail the “Jones Express”

He has a record of 16-3 with fifteen knockouts and the native of Barranquilla, Colombia is on a two fight losing streak to former world champion Ricardo Torres and highly regarded Welterweight Saul Alvarez.

There is an exciting co-feature that will feature Philadelphia’s Gabby Rosado and Latif Mundy.

Rosado is known for his two big upset wins over previously undefeated James Moore and former IBF Jr. Middleweight champion Kassim Ouma.

Rosado has a record of 12-4 with seven knockouts and is looking to redeem himself after his second round knockout loss to the world title contender Alfredo Angulo.

It was just about a year ago when Mundy was an undefeated prospect and was thought to be the next in line to carry on the tradition of a world champion from the City of Brotherly Love.

Like Rosado, Mundy is looking to get back into the win column as he dropped an eight round unanimous decision to Patrick Majewski at Middleweight in June at Ballys.

Besides those two fights, an outstanding undercard has been put together by Hall of Fame promoter Russell Peltz and it will feature undefeated Welterweight Ronald Cruz (6-0, 4 KO’s), former Jr. Welterweight title contender Mike “No Joke” Stewart (43-7-2, 23 KO’s) battling Louie Leija (21-12-1, 15 KO’s), undefeated Super Middleweight Julio Sanchez (3-0, 2 KO’s) as well as undefeated Welterweight Josh Mercado (2-0, 1 KO)
