Light Heavyweights Alexander and Cavallo to meet new opponents on “Night of the Undefeated” on April 6, 2007.

Alexander to take on Muller while Cavallo battles Word at The Legendary Blue Horizon

Philadelphia (March 29, 2007)—Light Heavyweights Max Alexander and Chucky Cavallo will appear in separate co-feature bouts on Friday April 6 at The Legendary Blue Horizon in Philadelphia.

Alexander will take on Ted Muller in a scheduled eight round bout while Cavallo battles Mike Word in a scheduled six round affair.

Muller, of Moline, Illinois brings in a record of 19-10-2 with nine knockouts.

The 34 year-old Muller was undefeated in his first sixteen bouts (15-0-1, 5 KO’s) as he competed between middleweight and the light heavyweight divisions. Muller then stepped up the competition but fell short in bouts against highly regarded prospects Jerson Ravelo, Dallas Vargas, Allan Green and Elvir Muriqi. Muller then pulled off some mild upsets by scoring knockouts over Joe DiSalvo, Mike Wood and Rocky Smith who had a combined record of 38-9-1.

Muller is currently on a three fight losing streak that consists of Muriqi, Carlos DeLeon and former title challenger Bronko McKart. Muller lasted the distance with those three despite their combined record of 96-11-2.

Muller should prove to be a litmus test for Alexander, 13-0-1 (2 knockouts) who feels he is ready to fight at that next level and a victory over Muller will help catapult him there.

Word will take on Cavallo on the strength of his stunning second round knockout over Marty Lindquist on March 17.

Lindquist was penciled in to be Cavallo’s opponent on April 6, but Word emphatically won the right to be across the ring from Cavallo.

Word’s is a veteran of fourteen pro fights.

Word, thirty-three years old from Milwaukee, Wisconsin has knocked out two previous undefeated opponents, so Word will not be intimidated by Cavallo’s undefeated ledger.
In the Main Event, heavyweight Chazz Witherspoon will take on an opponent to be announced shortly.
