Arena Box Promotion´s big show in Luebeck on Friday September 21 is now up to 14 fights and might begin as early as 5 PM. Cuban heavy Odlanier Solis will now face Marcus McGee and not Ross Puritty. Compatriot Yuriorkis Gamboa take on Argentinian Nestor Hugo Paniagua at featherweight. Herbie Hide continue his comeback at cruiser and is in against Romanian Mircea Telecam. Heavyweight Willi Fischer fight Latvian Aleksejs Kosoboksovs. Roman Aramian defends the Int´l German title at middleweigt against Alexander Sipos in the sole titlefight on the bill.
SES promotes in Magdeburg October 13 with supermiddles Denis Inkin and Robert Stieglitz on top. Stieglitz will face South African William Gare in a ten-round non-title fight while Inkin will defend the WBC Int´l crown against an opponent to be announced.
Stefan Trabant, younger brother of Michel, a fomer IBF Youth champ and German – BDB – champ, will return to the ring after another break October 2 in Berlin. Trabant, by now, 26, turned pro at 16 in 97. In 2001 he beat Mondli Mbonambi for the IBF Youth middleweight title but then dropped out of boxing for almost a year. After two comeback fights in 2002 Stefan disappeared until last year when won a majority decision over Latvian Sandris Tomson. Trabant is 35-3-2-1 and is now licensed by the GBA..
Newly crowned WBA I/C cruiser champ Johny Jensen have decided not to take the chance to fight WBO ruler Enzo Maccarinelli on the Kessler vs Calzaghe show November 3 in Cardiff. Jensen is now at # 10 in the WBA ratings.
