Two Fighters Will Meet In Ring at Coliseo de Puerto Rico and live on Pay-Per-View
SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO (November 24, 2009)-With the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday Winky Wright and Grady “Bad Boy” Brewer took time out of their busy training camps to send each other Thanksgiving messages as they prepare to meet in the ring.
They face off in a middleweight bout on December 11 in “Back to Business,” brought to you by San Juan City Knockout in conjunction with Winky Wright Promotions and Knockout Entertainment Inc. and sponsored by Cavi Designs. The event will be heldat the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and live on Pay-Per-View and at www.KnockOutSeries.com.
Wright, a future Hall of Famer with wins over Shane Mosley and Felix Trinidad, and who is set to return to the ring after a loss to Paul Williams in April, had a unique holiday message for Brewer.
“Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on what we are all thankful for,” said Wright. “Be thankful the fight isn’t this weekend Grady, because I’m in great shape and could make stuffing out of you come fight night. You are going to need these extra weeks of training to try and stop me. I’m ready to make a statement in this fight, and to show the world I’m back.”
Grady Brewer, the season two “The Contender” winner, who is currently on an eight fight winning streak, had a message of his own for Wright.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to step into the ring with one of the best in the sport,” said Brewer, who intends on delivering a cornucopia of punishment. “But, Winky, come fight night, I’m going to make you look like you ate too much Thanksgiving dinner, including the stuffing and candied yams. You are the one that needs the extra weeks, as I intend to continue my winning ways on December 11.”
