AMATEUR STANDOUT RICHARD HARGRAVES MAKES HIGHLY ANTICIPATED PRO DEBUT

00hargravesSan Francisco, December 7, 2009 – Highly decorated amateur standout, Richard Hargraves (welterweight), makes his pro debut against John Dunham this Friday December 11, 2009 on the undercard of the Oleg Maskaev vs Nagy Aguilera showdown, taking place at the Memorial Auditorium in Sacramento, CA.

Hailing from San Francisco, CA, Hargraves trains out of the SFC boxing gym under the guidance of Ben Bautista. With an amateur record 50-7, Hargraves was a 3-time local and state Golden Gloves champion and P.A.L (165 lbs) 2006 Bronze medalist. In addition, Richard was a 2009 Team USA member and (152 lbs) 2009 USA national champion with a # 3 ranking.

“I’ve been dreaming of this day for some time now,” said Hargraves. “I’m looking to work my way up the welterweight division and make a name for myself. I believe I have enough amateur experience to compete at the highest level. I’m excited to put on a good performance for the fans in attendance. All the hard work is about to pay off.”

Trainer Ben Bautista went on to say, “Richard is a very hard worker who possesses the discipline it takes to be a great fighter. I expect him to shine come fight night.”
